I watched most of the video of the execution of Nick Berg.
I couldn't finish it to the end.
I have seen the "abuse"
pics of the prisoners that is said to have caused this execution.
They do not compare in any way shape or form!!!!
The american soldiers did not throw a prisoner down on the floor and saw through their neck. No one died on tape at their hands.
I never in my life felt so numb inside. The tears were unstoppable. I have also never felt such rage.
I didn't sleep hardly at all. I don't recomend watching the video, it is not something that will ever be earased from my mind.
I pray for his family, God be with them. With us all.

I have a pic of a Iraqi prisoner that was beaten to death, and put on ice. I'll mail it to you if you still believe that American soldiers are not capable of doing something like that.

And remember the worst pics are YET TO HAVE BEEN RELEASED. So dont pass judgment just yet...

Like you said.. God be with his family... Even when they sue the US government who they hold accountable..

I don't claim that the US is completely innocent by any means.
We really messed up too.
I guess I am still in shock over what I saw happen on my computer screen.
I am really not trying to offend anyone, I guess I am just trying to cope with all of this.
I guess this effects me more than I thought it does.

Have to strongly agree that if it is true it is a HORRIBLE dispicable act. But to think that some members of our troops will not commit acts similarly heinious is to stick ones head in the sand. As Sobek said, the WORST pictures are yet to come. Or ARe they? The Pentagon is "Deciding" whether it wants to even release them. Some have been purported to contain footage of Female IRAQ prisoners being D(An act of violence) . But...we have allready seen to much, it is disturbing...we cant bare anymore..especially when it makes US look worse than bad, barbaric would be a better term.

Even if you dont look at the photos, video(Should it ever be released) you must know in your heart that unspeakable crimes HAVE been committed. By us. But, they are unspeakable, so lets ignore them....

But if he wants to "challenge us to be impartial," perhaps he should issue the same challenge to himself. All I hear from him are one-sided arguments, never giving ANY thought to the idea that the rest of the world might have an inkling as to what's going on in their world.

Yes, he DOES provide very well thought-out arguments, I'll give him that. But if you want to make the best arguments, you have to address the other side - why might people think this other way? -- Other than the suggestion they're simply "the stupidest people" or "opinions" or whatnot. If that's what he begins an arguments with, or even ends it with, etc., then many people will discredit his arguments, since most people aren't big fans of being insulted in ANY manner.

I would have to say I am about as in the middle as anyone on this forum. I have argued on the same side as many of you and against as many of you as well...

I have backed sobek and I have backed Rodney (Now there is a latitude).

But sobek's recent posts have been so extremely to the left that I have to agree. Impartial...he is most definitly not. So why should we....

Devin, I have to admit you are one cold turkey. I saw the Iraqi on ice, but a dead body is a different thing than broadcasting the sadistic murder of a bound man.

Not even a clean shot to the head!

That is the worst form of torture because those of us who can appreciate the differance are horrified by (Both) the abuse of the Iraqis...and (even more so) by the staged slaughter of a man just to enhance the reputation of a known Alkida operative who's agenda has been much more than Iraq.

I watched it, too. It disturbed me, to say the least. I'm sure our side has also done some pretty despicable things. IT'S WAR!! They call it that for a reason. Standards for normal society don't work and cannot be applied to war. They (our soldiers) are living in a situation we can only guess at from our armchairs and computer desks. The sad thing is, they will rejoice that the video of Nick Berg is being spread all across the world for everyone to see them saw his head off, and we will apologise for parading their soldiers naked.
