Fimbriatus, feeding of larger food.

RiverRatt May 13, 2004 09:18 PM

What kind of larger treats will a fimbriatus eat. Pinky mice? Large bugs? They are eating crickets really good but I just think they are very capable of eating some "meatier" prey. They are pretty voracious. I am really glad that I got them they are great. I promise pictures here soon . I have them in a model 70 Lizard Lounge by Oceanic. I took those coconut mat deals they sell for window planter boxes and used them and cyprus mulch, moss and peat to form a floor and planting enclosures. I have a timed spray system now for them and a light cycle they are really happy.

In nature one of their main feeders is the

Madagascar hissing roaches ! The wc's will recognize these right off, and respond immediately , I have heard.

Good luck, with the BIG buggies ! I had looked into them, as I have henkeli, which also love them, but my hubby who is not into the reptiles(only to admire) says thats where he draws the line

NO ROACHES IN THE HOUSE,

You can get a breeding colony and I heard they do well, and your set! Better than crickets, and No smell like crickets.

I have heard from the shop where I got my UF, house geckos and small skinks are alternative treats. I havent try on that. I am just worry those house geckos are also WC indeed, may have the opportunity to carry parasites which may harm my UF.
