grey scale after shed

EricJ May 14, 2004 06:50 AM

My corn snake shed just last night. She has never had any problems with sheds but this time i noticed two scales that are grey on the begining of the scale. I searched old forums for for anything similar but I didn't find anything just like this. I just recently moved her from a 20L to a forty breeder tank. I don't check humidty and the water is not under the heat lamp. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

my corn had this, i noticed a few oddly colored scales a week or so after his shed, and i got all weirded out. i asked the same question you did and someone mentioned that they would come off with the next shed. so i waited and sure enough, he just shed last week and all the bad scales are no more. don't know what caused it, but it doesn't seem to be anything threatening to the snake. just my situation. maybe you can post a pick of the scales?
