what are they?

I know I have seen posts on here before about those leach looking worms. They are small but slightly bigger on one side than the other and stick to the glass. They are brown/tan in color. They move around alot like a leach but if I remember right someone said they are not leaches? Some one found them in their tank and is asking for help on another forum and I thought I would try to find out for them. Thanks for any help you can give.
