He/She is Tec or Tecca, easy name change for when I find out if it is a he or a she. Tec is already in his third shed, wow.

Gorgeous. I remember the moment me and Vito became buddies. He would always puff up and hiss, try to run away, but never bite. After a couple weeks, I guess he realized I wasn't going to eat him! Now he just always expects food when he sees me! He let's me pet him, pick him up, etc. We can cuddle for about 5 minutes without him getting bored, then he wants to get away and go do his thing. I hear the older/bigger they get, the calmer they get. Only time can tell, but congratulations! He'll be one of your best friends from now on!

What a beautiful tegu! Glad to hear that things are going well. Tegus are so neat, and you feel so good when you finally get your little one to trust you enough to just hang out. Enjoy, and keep those pics coming!

Oh i can remember when my guys decided they wanted to be friends instead of trying to puff me out of their cage. Now they are both settleing down and im so happy with the two... I could never ever get an animal with more personality then these two have. They are easily the brightest pets ive ever had and i love every moment with my boys. They are so much fatter and bigger than they are in these pictures but i havent uploaded my new pictures of them yet... But geez if i could only explain there personalities to anyone... They are amazing!

What beautiful tegus! Are they both reds? I can see the first one is but the second is hard for me to tell. If I were to get another one it would be a red.
My tegu is now even leaning into me when I walk him around. If I let him down though, it is still a fight to get him back up. I have to keep remembering the word patience. It doesn't come easily, lol.
