More Questions - ECK!

ZeroX May 14, 2004 08:26 AM

Okay, now I have even more questions for you guys. Am I annoying or what?

1. Tell me all you can about heating. What kinds of heating do you use for you leo? How hot do you make her tank? What brands of heating do you use? (ex: you use an under-the-tank heater. What brand?)

2. How do you care for your mealworms? What is a nice substrate and gut load for them?

3. What kind of substrate do you use for your leo? Paper towels, sand, ect.

4. Are there any REALLY good leopard gecko websites that would really help me?

5. Do you know of any good books on leos for decent prices?

6. How long can you handle your leo without them getting annoyed or biting you?

7. How small are the babies generally? How big is a fully mature adult?

8. When do you feed your leo?

9. What are the accessories that I should put in my leos cage?

10. Do you use a thermometer or something of the sort that tells you the temperature and humidity? What brand do you use? How can you adjust the temperature if it is too high or too low?

Phew. Thanks in advance. Any information you have on leos will be greatly appreciated. I am still a novice and I'm eager to learn.

If being obsessed with animals was an occupation, I'd be rich!

There are three steps to caring for animals:

Feed, Clean, Handle, Nuture...
Love, Love, Love!

If you have a baby...the only thing I can tell you is not to use sand. We use zoo-med under the tank heaters. Hope this helps a little.

Sand is a huge debate for adults, but 100% of the experienced keepers and vets agree that babies and juvies absolutely should NOT be kept on sand. Also, all of your questions have been answered numerous times I am sure. Go to the SEARCH FORUMS section and do searches on the stuff you are asking about. I say this because many of the people who know these answers will not respond to this post because they have answered these same questions so many times. You will get quicker answers if you do the search yourself instead of wait on the pros.
