What kind of frog is this?

emumaster17 May 14, 2004 05:45 PM

I got this as a tadpole at a pet store I work at. It came in with the feeder fish. The tadpole was probably about four inches long. Now, the frog is just over an inch long. Does anyone know what kind of frog it is? If so, what kind of habitat does it need? What does it eat?

Thanks.

that is a leopard frog (80% sure) or it could be a green frog

Hi there:

Do you live in Buffalo, NY and work at a store called Markheim's? If so, I bought the frog. It is a northern leopard frog.

Well if I had to guess it looks like a leapord frog. I have 5 tadpoles in the froglet stage (4 legs and tail still) and they look just like that, with the stripe down the side and the spots. I got my tadpoles from Insectlore for a class project and the infromation sent with them states: they eat live insects, they suggested crickets. Good luck Kat
