I have a 10 galloon tank for my CFB newt. I decided to raise the water a bit higher I guess from like the original 7 cm to maybe 16-18 cm deep. However, the problem was like above the water I have a small land area that contains an amount of carbon and soil. Therefore, would it be dangerous to my newts if I raise the water level (since I afraid the soil might possibly change the water chemistry, although I think the water had been leaking in and "mix with the soil for a while)
Thanks for all the helps in advance!
