Anyone catch snakes around Eagle Pass (So of Del Rio)?

happycamper May 14, 2004 06:31 PM

There looks to be some good habitat just East of Eagle Pass, judging by the sattelite imagery on Terra Server. If not alterna than maybe some hognose or milks or desert kings? Does anyone else use Terra Server to scope for backroads and habitat? It's great. I've been finding lots of rats, corals, whips and rattlers that way lately. And I rescued (and released) an Indigo from the road north of Hondo last week! But I really what to find an annulata or hognose in addition to alterna. I'm waiting a couple more weeks to hunt Amistad area...

Thanks for any ideas, and check out terraserver.microsoft.com if you haven't before, I spend hours on that damn site!

Should be milks in the area. I don't know about hognose but I suppose they might be in the area. Have to check county records I guess. One alterna was taken in Kinney county years ago.

I would head a bit further south for milks... But hey if your their might as well look.

Good Luck,

steve
