Having trouble with the geckos I ordered

fadetolemons May 14, 2004 10:29 PM

Well as many of you have read, I ordered 2 baby leos from Xtreme Reptiles, which originally should have arrived today. However, they said they weren't getting any more baby blizzards until today, so they'd have to ship monday and i'd get them tuesday. I'm giving these 2 babies to my girlfriend as a birthday present, so I wanted to have them today so they could have a week with me to make sure everything's cool, but not i e-mailed them to confirm and it sounds like they won't be getting them in until tuesday, so i'll get them wednesday-thursday, which gives me a 3-4 day window to work with them. I guess this will be alright though.. I mean she lives like 2 minutes away from me and we are always together so they'll be fine i'm sure. I'm also worried that they'll send me two leos that are different sizes, because i know they have had hte albinos for awhile but are just getting in baby blizzards, and i ordered one of each. Oh well.. we'll just have to see, if worst comes to worst i'll have them in separate tanks and keep one of them here and let my g/f take the blizzard, which is what she really wanted in the first place. Anyways i'm rambling, I'm on a new medication that makes me crazy sometimes so yeah, i'll stop now.

Hi. You said they were 'getting in blizzards'. does that mean that they are getting them from a whole saler, or are waiting for thiers to hatch? If its a new hatchling I would be a bit concerned about shipping and all... and a whole saler possible health issues... hm, maybe you should email/call and see whats up. But thats just my .02

They'll most likely be ok, but these types of issues are more likely to come up when ordering from a broker. Not that there is anything wrong with brokering, just next time you may want to consider ordering your geckos directly from the breeder that produces them. Best of luck-
