Cal King double-clutching...........

Kerby... Jun 16, 2003 11:40 PM

Okay, I've had Corn snakes double-clutch without the introduction of a male plenty of times, but this is the first time that I had a female cal king double-clutch without the male being re-introduced. She had 11 eggs on 4 May 03 and today 16 June 03 (43 days later) she had 5 good eggs and 4 slugs. And today I also noticed that another cal king appears to be gravid again without the introduction of a male.

I bred her (Chocolate banded) to my male Mendota, so that gives me 16 good eggs

I'm getting excited to get some of those from you kerby, You'll have to let me know when some things start hatching out. I'm glad to see your projects going well, some of mine didn't go so well. But there is always next year.

Luke, I do have 8 eggs cooking from Mendota x Mendota. I am going to keep 1.1 from that clutch so that I will end up with 2.3. So there will be 6 available depending upon the sex ratio. And there are others on the list, but you shouldn't have any problems getting a pair.

Also I did the Albino High White (male) x Mendota (female) and those are due to hatch around 23 July. I also bred the Mendota (male) to a 50-50 (female) and to a Chocolate w/yellow stripe (female), so I can't wait to see the results of those!
