Well, unless you are going to be changing that food every few hours you are in for a big ole mess. One of the easiest and best ways to gutload your mealies and/or crickets is to just use a form of oatmeal or dry bran cereal (I also mix in some of my Miner-All) and a few potatoe slices or baby carrots.

I agree with Jeff, that will be one mess of stinky nastyness.

Try Leolovers and the other webpages that sponsor this forum they have really good gutloading ideas.
I've bought a jar of the orange cubes that are food, water, calc in one and i throw those in with my mealies that are in oats,(bran apparently smells but whatever), calc/vit powder, powdered milk and whatever else i can find at the time.
For dry food, you can also try cat food or fish food
Mealies will freak out if they're not in some sort of burrowing material.

the more food you give your animals the more food gets passed to your leos.

Yes, i definetely agree. For some years, i used to feed my crix only with oranges. Well, the result was a lot of fruit flies and bad odor. Then i stopped using oranges, and switched to carrots. The odod wasn't as bad but the fruit flies were still there. I stopped using fruits or vegetables, and i started using the water bites, and a liquid source and (Layena) which is basically chicken food. No bad smell, no fruit flies, and the crickets can't even walk because of their huge belly. Hope this helps.
