Frozen Feeders

devilish1182 May 15, 2004 02:51 PM

What is the best deal I can get on frozen feeders if I only have 3 snakes to feed and don't need to buy huge quantities? How long do rats/rabbits last in the freezer if in ziplocs or vacuum packed? I'm getting a seperate freezer to put feeders in, any recomendations on the best kind available for a good price? If the rats get freezer burn do they need to be thrown out or are they still ok to feed? Also I'm about to switch my 10 foot burm over to rabbits what is an appropiate size to feed her, she takes a couple jumbo rats with no problem and no lumps at all visible on her. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

I just placed an order with rodentpro.com . I have never tried them out, but it seemed for me that there prices were competitive and actually cheaper than most. I did order enough (well for me enough, I'm sure a lot of other people order way more). I have a ball python, a columbian x argentine boa and a kingsnake, so right now I got 50 med rats, 20 large rats and 50 large mice. Next is trying to find room in my 2 fridges/freezes for them all! I would say that the customer service was great. I had a prob with my orders not going through on the web site. They got my email and called me the next day to fix it up.

They are going to be your best choice for frozen feeders. The prey is pretty well priced but the shipping can get ya. My advice (from someone who buys 10 pound rabbits from them) is to CALL them to set up an order, dont use the website. The website may be convenient but your shipping charges will be inflated. Call them to order.
