A great boa has passed on..................Dial up warning.

It really might not be my place to be doing this....But, I feel it would be a good thing to do. Gary D took all these pictures and this is his beautiful female BCI Beth.
Having been on the forums for some years there have been certain animals that I have grown attached to. Sounds strange I know....... These are not my animals...Nor, were they ever. But, I grown certain attachments to some of them.
So, this is a tribute to Beth. One of my favorite forum snakes. I always loved with Gary posted pics of her. So, here are some of them. Beth live for 18 or 19 years and was around the 9ft range. And, from how Gary spoke of her........She was a sweetheart. She will be missed. I am sorry for your loss Gary.
John

she had a good run, and a loving home. You can't ask for more than that.

Sorry to hear she's gone...

That's great John, thank you. Infact I don't have all of those pictures still. I guess after a while you get so used to an animal that you always figure you can take more. Here's one of my favourites of her. She was my last accurate measurement of her was just over 9'6".

It is something the way we grow attached some of our snakelings. I remember when I first got Ms Muir. I felt uneasy around her for a long time. She acted like she hadn't been handled much, although she was never really agressive. In the last two years, we have gotten to know each other. We've spent some time outside in the sunshine. I have seen her try to crawl off of my friend's husband's shoulders to get to me. When I put her on the indoor tree, she will stretch toward me when I come close. I can give her a snuggle and a smooch now, without her freaking out. She has also blessed me with some wonderful babies. This year, she watched me take them out of her enclosure. She was right there watching, very attentive, but I managed to do it without losing any blood She never offered to be defensive and I was really glad of that.

I know there will come a day when I will lose one of mine with whom I've grown attached. I will probably blubber and cry, and no one will understand my grief over a snake......but the people here.

Her long life was a testament to the good care she received. I love the top pic with the little girl. That is very sweet.

Hi Rose,

My post was a little confusing...sorry. I'm really sick today, and I'm not writing clearly. Gary lost his boa and I was just rambling on about one of my girls, who is still with me, but would really be missed if she passed on. I would be reduced to a blubbering idiot if I lost her.
