Just wanted to show my leopard tortoise! I got her about two months ago. Her name is little miss piggy, I couldnt believe she ate so much when I got her home so thats where she got her nmae. Hope she is a girl!

She is just outside enjoying the sun. You can tell she was eating, there is green all over her mouth!

Can you please describe EXACTLY how you are keeping and feeding that tortoise?
Enclosure
lighting
heat
food types/frequency
Water availability/soaking
Etc.
Thanks.

I dont see why you care so much but...

I keep her in a four foot ny four foot wooden enclosure, which I know she will eventully grow out of. I have a basking lamp, a ceramic heat emitter and a huge UVB lamp. She is kept in hay amixture of alfafa and others which I made sure was edible for leopards just in case she decides to nibble. I have a water dish which she never goes near and I soak her twice a week. She absolutely hates being soaked but I do it anyway. I feed only excellent greens such as collard greens, mustars greens ect. I have tried different types of fruit in very small amounts but she never eats it. I have also tried things like squash but she doesnt really eat that either. I also bought an edible flower and greens mix that I grow myself with no fertilizer and she nibbles on that once in awhile. She also has two hide boxes to use. I have also tried several type of commercial turtle food as a supplement, but she wont even go near the rest of her food when the commercial stuff is close. She is pretty picky.

She is also pretty shy compared to toher tortoises Ihave had, but she is getting better with me.

The only thing I can really advise against is staying away from comercial, and don't use alfalfa too much protein. Great leopard.

The growth on the animal is nice and I store notes on animals that have been raised to produce good growth.
What are the temperatures you keep it at?

I try not to let the enclosure get below 70 or 75, hence the ceremic heat emitter, I would say the hottest is 95 degfees f. or somewhere around there...

Nice...smooth growth. You must be doing something right.
