Questions about ready-made beardie food

lucille May 16, 2004 04:32 AM

I was thinking of supplementing their insects and greens with some sort of beardie food. I did buy some one time but the beardies never seemed very interested. So, I have the following questions:
If you use pellets or some other commercial food, would you please rate the brand you use and tell why you stick with that brand.
Does anyone make their own? I do make some of my own pet food; I have 2 lories and make and freeze their fruit slurry/nectar, got the recipe from a leading lory researcher. Is there a site with knowledeable beardie info that might have such a recipe?

We use repcal juvie, I think it's a great formula and once the beardies get switched over to it they love it (at least mine do).

I haven't used any pellet other than Rep-Cal. Everyone who uses it seems to favor it, and my dragons love it, so that's my choice.
