Female pregnant or impactions??

A.C.3 May 16, 2004 10:52 AM

I tried breeding my female leopard about 5 weeks ago, and i was pretty sure that she was fertilized. She has gotten a lot larger (partially because I loaded her up because i thought she was pregnant)but shouldn't she have layed her eggs by now? SHe is showing a big line down the center of her stomach that is red and she hasn't been eating for about 2 weeks and her tail is becomming more slim. However she is still quite large. She is also less active. Could anyone tell me what these signs are??

Thanks,
A.C.

I have one similar and I took it to the vet who thought she was impacted. I'm pretty sure she had been pregnant though because I see a lot of pregnant geckos and should know what they look like. I'm guessing mine has become eggbound and impacted or eggbound because of impaction or something. Somebody earlier posted something about their gecko who had gotten 2 eggs stuck and had fertilized two more so she died with four eggs stuck in her.
