My baby Beardie!

I would advice against it.
They do both have the same active ingredient of calcium carbonate, however Tums and other antacids also contain many additives like sugar, starch, mineral oil, preservatives, artificial flavors, coloring, fragrances, and a bunch of other stuff that your beardie doesn't need. Rep-Cal calcium powder is 100% natural phosphorus-free calcium, sometimes with added D3, nothing else.
I haven't heard of anyone trying to use antacids, or any studies on how they compare to the tried and true calcium suppliments on the market. For this reason alone I would think the best thing to do is stick with what we know works, and avoid the unknowns.
