Ball python setup

I have had a ball python for about one year now and he has grown about a foot and a half since i first got him. iv been keeping him in a 29 or 30 gallon not real sure but its pretty basic a water dish and 2 places to hid (a hollow tree branch and a little cave) but i recently found a 40 gallon in my basement and was wondering what i could do with this tank to kinda give him more room and maybe better stuff. hes happy now but i always like to improve thanks

I love the way the color green looks against a Ball Pythons colors. So I have lots of green in my BPs tank - green carpet, background and plastic plants. Here's some pics of my tank:
