funnyman527 May 16, 2004 02:59 PM

my baby beardie seems bored alot of te time in his cage, and he's still too small to let roam about in my room.

as of now, the most ative part of his day, is when i feed him his crickets...

any suggestions for doing something for my beardie to add a activity to his life?

Babies of all animals take up a lot of energy just growing. That is why animals you are familiar with- infants, puppies, kittens- sleep so much.
Chances are your little guy needs his undisturbed time to just sit and grow. Lizards don't curl up with a blankie but they need their 'rest' time just like other babies. I am sure he enjoys his time with you but when he is just sitting he is not bored, he is working on turning from a little guy into a big guy.

Your baby is adorable!!!! We used to have 2 plastic kiddie wading pools that we put ours in and they had alot of room to run around. I set them up with all thier favorite sticks and toys. I pretty much just kept them in the pools in the daytime. We were blessed to have a big loft space at the time so the pools wern't too much of a space issue. I don't think I'd do this outside, though, I'd be afraid the birds might get them. Good Luck!
