I'm a new beardie owner, and with that comes lots of questions... heres a few i've got for u guys tho...

1. aslong as my beardie will keep eating it, should i keep offering as much veggies and crickets as he wants? or should i cut him off?

and

2. I've noticed that my beardie started to shed, but only a little bit. is there anything i can do besides mist him, to help him along in the process?

1. The rule of thumb with crickets is to allow the beardie to eat as many as he wants in a ten minute period. To me it seems like they would keep eating until they explode if you let them! When he is a year old you can cut back on the insects and let him eat mostly veggies. Veggies can be left in the cage all day and he will eat what he wants when he wants it. Remove all food about 2 hours before the lights go out to give him time to digest it all.

2. Give it time and he will get most of the shed off himself. If there are leftover pieces that he can't reach you can help peel it off, but if it's still attached pretty well don't pick at it. If time goes by and it just won't come off on it's own, soak your beardie in water and rub to soften the skin. Be very gentle and keep soaking daily until it comes off.
