Ok-- so we bring home a baby corn snake... do what we are told, and don't touch him for 3 days.. evening of the third day... open up the setup and POOF hes pulled a houdini--- we have NO freaking idea how it got out.. NONE!
Anyway, fast forward exactly two weeks, heat was accidentally left on full blast over night.. Mr. Snake likes this and goes cruising around... hubby heads for the bathroom and finds the baby corn snake on the OPPOSITE side of the house behind the toilet. Completely amazing btw.. since this is a tiny little hatchling, only has had MAYBE 3 feeds, 4 tops.. and it has survived 2 cats while on its AWOL mission. Its incredible he saw him at all, just caught a glimpse of his tail as he hid...
Anyway, now the dilemma.. what the hell do we do with it? I am NOT prepared to go out and by another enclosure when I have one I just bought HERE complete with top that I am SURE will be just find in a few months of growth (its a 20 gallon with a wire top-- with screen under the top to add extra safety-- not that it WORKED!)
I have it in a tupperware type thing now with a waterdish, bark, and a hide.. INSIDE my leopard gecko enclosure on top of THEIR heatsource, so they can all share... cause it just ate and I don't want the thing to regurg due to lack of heat...
Can I keep it in there for a bit or is there not enough airflow? What else can I use that "Houdini" is sure not to vanish from?
HELP!!!!!
