bedding?

burmking May 16, 2004 07:21 PM

I am testing out bedding and Today i purchased some bedding from walmart in the pet section its made by AlfaPet and its called Chlorophyll Litter it has pictures of birds, an iguana, rabbits and gerbils. I was wondering could I use this for my ball python to test it out . I sorta looks like aspen shavings that i used before.

if the cage is humid it will still probably mold, better stick to aspen, paper towels, or newspaper until you get some cypress.

chlorophyl litter is bad for even hamsters and gerbils, I really wouldn't use it for snakes. Especially if they don't tell you what kind of wood it is.

If it is the green stuff you are talking about I had a friend that used it in a pinch and turned the bellies of all his balls green that only came off with the next shed.. Also for some reason while he had them on that bedding non of them would eat!! I would be very careful and just use newspaper of paper towel.. If you want a bit of a thicker paper towel go to home depot and in the paint section get the blue heavy duty paper towels, They work great!!!
