kane65 May 16, 2004 07:43 PM

I stumbled upon this software by accident and was wondering if anyone else has tried it?

It's called Herp Care Software located at http://www.thegeckocam.com

Please let me know if anyone has tried it.

I've found simple is best. I'm sure that software is nice, though.

I use an excel spreadsheet I made based on Pro Exotics tracking sheet. Basically has all the items on their sheet, plus a couple of mine as columns so I can fill in the date and what happened. Excel makes it easy to chart things, too, so I can chart feedings, sheds, or whatever.

Just depends on how anal you are about tracking, I guess. I tend to lose paper sheets, so the spreadsheet works great for me. I just keep a pad and pencil in the snake room and jot down what I do, then put it on the sheet next time I'm at the computer.

Send me an email and I'll send you a copy. It's in Excel 2003 format. Credit goes to the original Pro Exotics caresheet.

It's really nothing special, but it works for me.

I used to be extremely anal recording everything, but over the years I have limited my data to:
feeding, breeding, shedding, weight, and any ailment or vet trips(with dates of course).
