Pre Anal Pores on a Male Tokay?

4everherpn May 16, 2004 07:44 PM

Does anyone have a pic of what these pores look like? I think I may have misjudged and have 2 female Tokays instead of 2 males. If this is the case I'd be glad to do a swap with someone for a male.

heres the best pic I have of a adult male. its hard to see in this pic but males will have a shiny waxy appearance around the pores also. how big is this female if it is indeed female?

I see you pictures. They are helpful. Mine are both larger in size. I'd say about 10 inches or more. My guess is they are both male. I'm sure folks are dyin for a male to add to their collection. I'd sure love to get a female.

If you really aren't sure, you could always take him out and check. My tokay sometimes will crawl out on my hand, but when i try to grab him from behind he's not all too pleased.

Bite the bullet, pick him up, and rub your finger over the pores. If you feel resistance, it's a male. If you feel no resistance, nothing but smooth skin, it's a female.

If you pick him up, you will definately notice the waxy looking stuff on the pores that Dakman was talking about.
