The babies will be here next monday after the next(because i'll be gone this weekend). Just wondering on some facts about the babies. First off, what is the basking temp for the babies?
Also, do I use newspaper and when do I change to sand? I have two slabstones and wondering if they can use it? Finally, should they need to be sprayed with water?
Here is another story today.

I've been looking for rock slabs for awhile and found pet stores to be really expensive and a bad selection. The pet stores price was 1.96 per pound and had rocks with lizard poop on them (used). Well today I went to Thompsons material in Fontana, CA, and checked out all of their huge selection of Rocks. I found around 7 slabstones around 1 1/2" thick each. I was worried a bout them being too expensive so I got what I needed. When I reached the counter they said it was 30 pounds!!!
I had around 50 dollars to spend and was pretty worried. After she tallied up the price (around 25 min) I was expecting the worse. The total came to....
$4.25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, there is no typo, $4.25!! I was sooo happy but had to go because the place was closing. That saved me 55$ then going to a pet store. Just felt like it was a good story to tell (sort of suspensful).
I got just enough for mine and the new babies. Its a pretty nice pale color, match my cage great.

SO MY QUESTIONS ARE (getting off topic)
-What is the basking temp for the babies?
-Do I use newspaper and when do I change to sand?
-I have two slabstones and wondering if they can use it?
-Should they need to be sprayed with water?
-Do you like my story LOL
Thanks,
Collaredkeeper

It isn't Slabstone, It's flagstone.

Everybody will probably have their own thoughts .

Depending how old your babies are, I believe Paul had said they were a couple months ??

I used paper towels with my hatchlings for a couple months. When I saw they were expert at catching crickets and very sure footed so to speak, then I replaced with washed playsand.

I never mist my guys unless they are shedding, I do mist, to assist them to get that skin off. It does help!

I use slabs of slate in every one of my lizard tanks. But I sit it on top of two bricks, the bricks first, then the sand, then the slabs for basking site.

You do not want any rocks of any kind on top of the sand, they will dig in the sand and may cause the rocks to collapse. It is a sad thing, and it has happened to a couple of our buddies

As far as heat its the same 100 - 105 in the afternoon some of
mine can get to 110

Oh and I LOVED YOUR STORY
