I would like to breed Jack one of my garters but i bought it at petco a while back just as a "garter" so after a few posetive ID's a final one would be appreciated. Here are a few pics if they help,
thanx in advance

Show the bottom of the tail stretched out.
The underside of the tail looks more like a male to me.

From the fast taper in the side view of the tail, I'd say female. Rule of thumb is that if the tail is greater than half as thick at midpoint as at the base of the tail (looked at from the side), then it's male.
As for species, I'd advise keying it out.
