This is another of Nitro's babies. Only one egg left to go from her clutches and they all will have hatched.

. . . congrats - that's a very nice looking baby.
I must have missed it - what happened to Nitro? Sorry to hear that you lost her. She was one of a kind . . .

She layed 3 clutches and then died all of the sudden. She wasn't egg bound and I have no idea why it happened. I was crushed. She was One of a kind! I still have her parents and some eggs from them and all but one from the 6 eggs has hatched from her. The last egg from her should be hatching any minute!

About 1 1/2 months ago my normal het albino female was laying,
after i checked on her i went into another room to watch some TV, came back to check on her and she was just laying there dead, that first egg never came out, so in an attempt to save her eggs i have to cut her open and get the egg still inside of her out, one egg was fertile the other wasnt, unfortunatly all my eggs died, but, i really hope i..and you never have to whitness this again...truly horrifying

My leopard was not egg bound though. She had no eggs in her when she died. It totally sucked!
. . . man, that's a tough break. Did you ever find out what happened?
Hopefully - her traits will carry through to the babies!!
Best of luck this year.

I am thinking it might have been liver failure. She was raised almost exclusively on Mealies. I starting rethink my use of them as sole feeders. Moving more towards using only crickets. Its just a speculation. I should have gotten a necropsy done but I decided not to. I have several of her hatchlings and they are looking very promising. They will all be staying here with me.
Talk to you later Monte.

She looks great Chad. Keep us posted on how all her babies turn out. At least Nitro’s legacy lives on . . .
