Paper towel eating Arabesque

mdc May 16, 2004 10:52 PM

Just wanted to post an update. Last week, my arabesque girl ate two paper towels. She is not that big, so I was worried. Everyone on here told me they would pass, but I wasn't so sure since she was so small. She was absolutely stuffed from head to vent. Well, today she finally passed them. I am sooooo relieved and maybe I can finally get a good nights sleep. Here is a pic of what she passed - with her in the pic for size comparison. Sorry for such a gross pic, but maybe it will help someone else in the future not worry so much. If this little girl was able to pass these, others shouldn't be so worried if theirs eat something weird. This girl was only treated with an oral laxative and lots of soaking.

Thanks to all who replied to my original thread and hope everyone has a good night. I know I sure will, now.

Make sure to keep her hydrated, also I will give her some nutribac, as that had to have been hard on her digestive system. Glad to hear she is ok.

Looks like she regurged it, which is ok, but she does need to be rehydrated, soak her in some luke warm water for about 45 minutes and do not feed her for a week so her tummy can settle.
Glad it all turned out ok.

Jim,

I agree that it looks like a regurge, but it has been in there a week and a half, so I'm just not sure. Either way, I am pumped. I've been praying that she would regurge ever since she ate them, that I can at least deal with. Anyhow, I'm going to give her some time and lots of soaking and I'm sure she'll be back to normal soon enough. I'm just happy to have them out of there.....one way or another!

I know you were worried sick over that. I know I would have been. Bless her little heart. Let us know how she does.

Matt,
. It looks like what I found after my little Blood Python ate a papertowel. It looks like it has been regurged.
