How often...................

How often would you feed a pair of copperheads? I have one that is 41 inches and she eats one jumbo mouse a week. The other is about 20 inches and he eats 1 small adult mouse evey 5 days. Is this ok or do I need to change at all? Thanks.

I'd say feed in the same manner recommended for a ball python of the same size. They are both of similar proportions for their length and both ambush predators with slow metabolism. Once a week is OK but certainly not any more frequent. You could go one jumbo mouse every 2 weeks for the 41" snake and be OK as well.... just watch and make sure they don't get fat at all.

I could never get our copper to eat. She didnt want anything we offered her. We finally had to let her go in hopes she would find something more pleasing in the wild.
