Disturbing Behavior.

All my turtles are stalking each other and nipping/biting each other! Why!!!!! I don't want them killing each other...it's not like I don't feed them enough! Is it due to warmer water or something?

Ripping and biting??? Hmmm, maybe you should split them up for a few days to let them cool off. Could be a territorial thing.

Not Ripping but nipping, like tiny nibbles. It's semi-friendly in the sense that the recipient of the bite doesnt seem to mind but there is the occasional struggle when the bite is too hard, and those are the bites i worry about. The biggest one sometimes bites the top of the neck of his favorite female and I get really mad about that. I've already quarrantined the main perp! Sigh, turtles.

what is the size of thier tank? i am really hoping you are not keeping 3 turtles in like a 10 or 20 gallon aquarium.......

50 gallons for 4 medium turts

Thats way too small, they are probably getting nippy because they don't have enough personal space. The rule of thumb is 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle. If you have 4 3 inch turtles you should have a 120 gallon tank.
