Help with a breeding question!

fireresq42 May 17, 2004 09:46 AM

I will start by saying my opinion about this question is I don't see why it would not work but I am posting the question to get a second, third and fourth opinion!!

I have a friend that has just acquired a 700g. male pastel and a 1300 normal female and the question that she asked was " Is it to late to cycle both of them for a short time and try too breed them at this time of year?"

Can anyone think of and post a good reason why this would not be possible? or If any one has done it how they went about it!!

I have never tried it at this time of year so I really don't know!

All replies would be appreciated!

Besides the female being too small!! Which I have told her already!

Snakes won't breed unless they are comfortable. If she just acquired them then they haven't had time to acclimate to their new home. She'd be better off letting them settle in until fall. That way the female could gain some weight too.
