Where did you buy her from? Was she introduced to a male before you bought her? If you bought her from a pet store, was she in a cage with males? If so, he probably bred with her.

Move her out of sight of the male - move the cages away from each other or put a piece of cardboard between them, just to be on the safe side.

In the meantime, there's nothing you can do to stop her from laying - you'll have to let her run its course. While she is laying, though, make sure you give her lots of high-protein foods - mealworms, crickets, superworms, etc. Plus waxworms and pinkies (pinkies should only be given 1 to 2 per month). Waxworms can be given more often, but don't use them as staple diet.

If she's at the end of her laying season, she'll be okay. If she keeps losing weight, however, you need to speak with the person who sold her to you. It was irresponsible of them to have sold a gravid leo who was that small.

Someone on here a couple weeks ago or smt said that you can stop a female from laying by separating her completely from other leos (so she can't see or smell them or anything...so basically put her in a different room), and cooling her down (lowering the temps some).

i bought her from a breeder and she was not with any other leos. she is seperate from all leos. i have lowered her temps and she was not gravid when i bought her. the thing is, is that she already stopped eating. so i push amealie up to her mouth and then she eats them. i hope she doesnt die though.

decrease their eating habits. My suggestion was because someone else on the forum had mentioned at some point that they stopped thier leo from laying by lowering temps and separating her from others...there may have been more to it...try searching for that thread and maybe contacting the person about it. I hope she does ok!

use a "cooling period" to signal the end of the breeding season, then end the cooled period to signal the beginning of the breeding season. Leos don't need it as much as other species, but it is used by some breeders. So far as I know it doesn't harm the geckos any...it slows thier metabolism some and they eat less...but I believe that is what they would normally do in the wild anyway.
