Anybody get lucky this weekend...?

stevenxowens792 May 17, 2004 10:52 AM

I got rained on a lot in Sotx. I figured someone would have got one this weekend. I know it was about 10 degrees cooler than normal.

Take Care,

Steve

We were on 277 and 90 between Del Rio & Langtry Saturday night. Started out ok, but got cold & windy. Saw a good number of geckos, etc. early but no snakes on cuts or roads.

Yes, at 8:24 last night, (May 16) I caught an 18 inch male alterna 5 miles East of Sanderson. Winds were 10-15 MPH at the time, humidity at 44%. I just pulled in from the trip and have not yet had time to post a picture. This will follow soon. Paul Freed, his wife Barbara and Charlie mann from the Houston Zoo were out there at the time and they are moving to the X-mas Mts. I also saw a 4 ft. female atrox going towards Pandale, as well as a D.O.R. Longnose West of Sanderson.

The weather was much cooler than I expected. I stayed in south texas, and it was crappy so I left early. I am headed back out to meet up with coach in the next day or so.

I hope the alterna keep movin...

Take care and congrats again. Can't wait to see the shots.

Thanks Steve. Tell Coach I will be calling him shortly. I spoke with him before he left for South Carolina.
