Does anyone have problems with the reptile lightbulbs burning out very quickly???

I HATE that.i jkust bought a bulb yesterday for one of my geckos and this morning it burned out.Ugg.Does anyone else have this problem?

Hey there,

It is true, although it hasnt happened to me that quickly, they do burn really fast. You can get ceramic heaters, they are more powerful, but more expensive as well. The good thing is that ceramic heaters run forever.

Yes I went though 3 $20 bulbs in one month. Now I just hang on to my recipts and return them. I think I was having problems with exoterra brand bulbs, zoomed bulbs seem to last a long time.

I feel your pain. Now I use plant Gro-lite bulbs from Home Depot. They are supposedto be as close to sunlight as you can get and are WAY less $$. Have grown orchids under them for 25 years and they do fine.
