Hi!

this is one of my new snake racks - for young snakes.
This is not yet completely finished - some finishing touch need to make it looking better, but you gt the idea.

How will you handle air circulation through there?

Hi!

The boxes will have ventilation holes on both sides and backside - they have a kind of frame around each box at the top, leaving 1/2 inch space around all box. The holes are not drilled yet on the picture.
Additinally, the distance between each shelves is 1/8-1/7 inch bigger than the box height - this also gives ventilation.

In the room, on the ceiling there is a fan, circulating air inside the snake room, to create even temperature all over the room. This makes the air moving around and helps with ventilation of all racks and cages.

Awesome rack man.... Can you tell me what it cost to make? what size qt boxes it holds and what are the materials.... i have searched every lumber place ..home depo lowes etc... in a 150 mile radius of me and none of them sale sheets of melamine..? Is that what you used..? IM having to use some other really nice wood...But i am in desprate need of a new hatchling rack... and would love to have one that looks like that....any and all info would be gr8... This is made from melamine - one rack holds 64 boxes (PlasTeam brand - not sure if you can find it in USA).
This is not finished yet - the front of the shelves will be finished white, as the rest of the rack.

This wasn't expensive - I don't remember exactly, because I have bought materials for few racks at this time. I will check it and let you know.
