I'm looking to get a baby, or hatchling scarlet king, despite their bad reputation in captivity. Will almost all scarlet kings eat snakes? I don't want one that is fixated on pinkies, snakes are the easiest thing for me to obtain for them, anyone have pics of a scarlet king eating a snake?

adults will gobble down newborn garters and ribbon snakes no problem ....but hatchling SKs are gonna want ground skinks most likely although I imagine they might try a 3 to 4 inch snake..
It is truly remarkable to watch an adult scarlet king subdue and eat another snake....they are incredible constrictors and very aggressive, easily justifying their title as a "kingsnake".
I've never seen a scarlet king eat another snake, but I'm pretty sure it'll be awesome to watch. I'm hoping to get a scarlet king that will not only want lizards, as they are extremely hard to provide in an area where you can't find them, snakes on the other hand I can get in high numbers. Newborn northern brown snakes, shorthead garters, common(eastern)garters are all easy to find from June through October.
