ok my lil annie is ready to shed eny day now i hope i thought she was readdy last week but was rong she has not eatten in like 2 weeks i no they can go long its just i hate her not eatting she oww just bit me i had her on my arm she has never felt my skin yet and did a test bite on my right hand i saw it comeing too eny way she seems to be in good heath has a good strong grip made my arm go numb. was a very nice bite she gave me but not scar wearthy like my left pinky got the end of it bitten off by a snapper a couple years back. when should i espect a shed from her. her eyes dont seem to be blue eny more but she has that dusty ready to shed eny day now look. also how soon should i feed her after she sheds same day or wait a day or 2.

it should be any day now but it can take a few days. I would feed her the next day...a few weeks is nothing to any anaconda...don't worry...she will be fine. I would not be holding her that much in shed, she can't see you and feels vulnerable and is more likely to bite you. I just did a 4th grade presentation on anacondas and snakes today and showed my young girl and took her out to find out she is going into shed. She was fine but if I had known I would not have used her. The kids surprised me with a lot of things they knew and some great questions. Quite a few reptiles in their homes I found out and maybe we got some new future forum members.
Nice i have a reptile persentation at a high skool for biology classes next week i hope she sheds by then hate to get bit agein durring the show.
