I am sure if you put a request up for POTHOS cuttings, you would get some volunteers to send you some. Just ask that they contact you off the forum.

There are several plants that are called "pothos." What you find in Home Depot and most nurseries are usually Scindapsis species that are also called pothos. The "true" pothos is characterized by leaves that appear constricted in the middle.
You can probably find both at Glasshouse Works. They have both pothos and Scindapsis, as well as a wealth of other rare and unusual tropicals suitable for terrariums.

Look under Epipremnum as well as Scindapsis. I think the taxonomists have been at work changing things again so you will see both Epipremnum aureus and Scindapsis aureus listed. They are the same plant. Glasshouse Works does not have the "true" pothos as I stated, but I think your are referring to the others anyway.

Local stores should have most of the plants you should need. lowes has some nice plants for a very nice price. All except Broms or other exotics.

I can hook you up with pothos cuttings. I don't know if it would really be worth shipping them though. Do you need any other plants? If so, I would just throw the cuttings in for free.

Thanks Ken,

yeah, im gonna see what other stuff you got (i didnt look too thoroughly) Do you carry any plants that do well in just gravel submerged in water? if so i would consider ordering some of those and then having you send the cuttings with it, if its cool with you?
I appreciate it man

Not really. What kind of tank/setup do you have? Is all the gravel submerged?

MarkyV Jun 22, 2003 09:45 AM

Well, its gravel for about three inches or so with water filled half way up the gravel, i was planning on rooting the plants directly into the gravel, so that the roots are in the submerged gravel than placing moss on top of the gravel...
