Market Value

houseofdragons May 17, 2004 09:41 PM

What is your best guesses on the market value of an Albino Boa say 2 years down the road?? Do you think it will retain its current market price, take a severe drop or possibly a small drop "say a few hundred dollars"??

Thanks!!

in my opinon if you are thinking a baby raised up to 2yrs, should increase in value. albinos in general 2yrs from now....probably somewhat lower in price. albino pic is from RobinetteReptiles. enjoy!!

I think that quality albinos will maintain their price. A couple years ago, I saw many albinos for $1000 and some for as low as $800. But with better and better bloodlines being produced (ie. striped, coral, etc.) it is hard to find them at that price. Even normal albinos seem to be selling for $1100 and up. I also think that all these new morphs are causing fewer normal albinos to be produced. People are using their albinos to produce dh sunglows, motleys het albino, jungles het albino, dh snows, and so on. This causes the number of normal albinos born to decrease dramatically causing prices to stay high.

what a ugly boa that isi think you should send it to me for more observation ..... lol

i agree that its hard to find most albino babies forunder a grand and havent seen them as low as you stated for $800 since like 99-00 ... well i stumbled upon that 4 yr old price on a trio of the lil babies for $2400.00 for a 2.1 trio and you guessed it i am beside myself with joy...

i guess i still have a little bit of luck left in me lol

If you would have asked me in 99' I would have said they would be about $500 by now, they just do not seem to drop, I would say they will be a good investment for quite awhile, alot left to do with them still.
