Does anyone know how many babies a mouse can have at once?One of my breeder mice give birth to 23 pinks sometime today.John

I've heard of over 30, but 23 is about twice the average.

Was there only one female in the enclosure?.... r u sure it's not two litters?

you ought to hold some of the females back for your rodent colony - who knows, she may hold a gene for "hi-yielding" clutches of pink mice.

Yes it was the only mouse in the tank.I pulled it 2 days ago when I seen how large it was.It is a new young breeder and I will probably use half of them for food for my upcoming babies and the others will grow up to replace some of my older breeders.Thanks.John
