fish i scoop up with a net from lakes? I want to feed my snapper small sunfish, tadpoles, frogs, and other prey that they are used to eating in the wild. Is it safe, or can my turtle catch diseases or worms?
Thanks.

Feeding them wild caught things will expose them to pathogens and disease, mostly worms... But if you get them dewormed semi annually it shouldnt be much of a problem...
Or freeze the stuff you catch for a few days, then thaw and feed

did you buy your snapper at a pet store or capture it wild?
if you bought your turtle, your best bet is to buy its food too.
if you captured it wild at a size of at least three inches longitudinally front to back of caripace, it should be able to eat anything you throw in.
