A novice with a wild-caught Great Basin Gopher Snake...

therreid May 18, 2004 11:04 AM

I have a wild caught Great Basin Gopher Snake. The snake is about 2 to 2.5 feet long. Just caught him yesterday after he chowed on a large gopher. Is this a difficult snake to keep in captivity? Would this be a good one for a novice like myself that has never kept snakes? I have had an iguana for years....which passed on due to old age, but no experience with snakes.
