Egg question

Today, I found that one of my eggs had started to mold, 44 days into incubation. I gently rubbed the mold off w/ a q tip and dusted on some baby powder. I also noticed that the egg was slightly deflated and I could feel the leo inside. The other egg looks fine. Has the baby died? How long should I wait before cutting the egg open?
