Hello all.
I've just adopted an Eastern painted turtle and was here (great site) trying getting info on its care etc etc. I noticed alot of people when they post they also list the animals they own. I get that part but what do the three digit numbers mean before the animal type?
ie 0.0.1 cat
2.3.0 dog
etc etc.

It's an indicator of gender.
1.0 means you have a male
0.1 means you have a female
0.0.1 means the sex has not been determined
so....1.2.1 means you have 1 male, 1 female, and 1 unknown...

Thank you so much! The stupidist things drive me nuts. lol I fugured the male/female had to be part of it but the 3rd designation was driving me nuts.

Actually, it means you have 1 male, 2 females, and 1 unknown.
