Thinking of getting aquatic frog.......

agrrlandherguy May 18, 2004 06:57 PM

Any ideas on what kind?

I have many reptiles in my home as is (Igs, CWD, RES, ect) and I was thinking of getting an aquatic frog for my daughter. Yes, I know reptiles are not a good pet for a child, but I was more thinking I could "say" it is hers for the novelty of it (she's 3) and I would be the one taking care of it. I was thinking aquatic so that she wouldn't want to handle it as we have Koi outside and she has a few of those and is ok with the concept of not being able to hold them.

I was just thinking someone might have some suggestions about what kind to get that is intersting to watch, but is also easy for a first-timer.

Thanks!

I've given my niece who's turning four 2 ADF (aquatic dwarf frogs). And she loves them to bits. She knows she can't hold them and they are entertaining, as well as easy to care for. They also tend to stay very small. She loves to watch them interact with the other tankmates we've placed in there, Danios and Tetra. And she loves to watch the frogs as they float on top of the water for a spell. They are also a sturdy breed, as well as kind of cute. I hope your daughter enjoys her pets
