Sanderson Alterna

alterna63 May 18, 2004 10:11 PM

Here is the picture of the Sanderson Alterna male collected May 16, 2004. Again, stats are as follows:
SSE Winds 10-15 MPH, temp 76 degrees, 8:24 P.M. Humidity @ 44% 5 miles East of Sanderson. This is my 8th Alterna collected from the Sanderson area. This snake was collected approx. 60 feet at the end of a rock cut crawling onto the road just inside the white stripe near the shoulder and heading for danger.

That looks like a captive born alterna to me from a local Houston Breeder...

Just kidding...

That looks great for East Sanderson. It seems like Alterna are moving early in the evening this year. I am headed out in the morning for Sotx and then Wtx. I hope I have some decent luck. I think I am do for one, and it should be my time...
Hope you left some for Coach and Myself. Weebie already got this year's quota last year... hehehehe
Congrats again...

Man, that thing looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!
Just kidding buddy, congrats to you. As you probably have heard, we saw exactly zip. Got fairly cold & windy on us. Hopefully, Mark & JP will have better luck next week.
