I am just curious...I want to see how the forum votes...

snakeguy88 May 18, 2004 11:13 PM

for the office of the presidency. Personally, I have no idea. I think both candidates are idiots, and I probably won't vote. It might be throwing my vote away, but I couldn't care less at this point. I would rather enjoy being able to say without remorse..."I didn't help put either of them into office." So who do yall think is the lesser of two evils?

I have no idea... I was going to vote for Bush, but then I came here and got overwhelmed LOL But I SURE do NOT want to vote for the other guy!!

MAN Where's Ross Perot when you need him???!?! He's the guy you could vote for and still say "Hey, it's not MY fault the latest idiot got elected to office!" since Perot never won...!!!

Hell Bush and Kerry should run together!!

"04" will be a waste of a vote, any way you look at it.

To bad I registered.... I'd give mine to Nader, before those two goons.

At this point my priority is to get Bush out of the White House.
He has had four years to prove what he is about and in my book, has earned the right to return to obscurity.

Not that I am a big fan of Kerry. But there is a big difference in perception that a veteran has about war. A man who has been there is not so reckless into getting into another one.

Who ever is in the White House will have to clean up the mess that we are in, which is a sorry legacy to pass on to another president (as Nixon learned in reguards to Vietnam).

I have seen posts in here that have tried to smear Kerry claiming he is just as commited as Bush to this war. On that we will have to wait and see.

Campaigns are notorious forums for misinformation. I think Bush will lose. Then we will see his opponents true colors (good or bad).

One other thought...One of the things I watch in Presidential Campaigns is how below the belt the adds get. Here in South Florida we are being Bombarded by Nasty Pro-Bush adds that slam Kerry. We are getting very few Pro Kerry adds and when we do they talk about Kerry...not Bush. How do the campaign adds run elsewhere?

personally, i think they both eat from similar tables...one is supported by oil companies and the other by lawyers...how do you feel good about those choices...

my vote...the one we have has an agenda that does not support freedom.

(patriot act, unlawful detention, war crimes against civilians in a country being occupied, and he spends like a democrate...)

Just my opinion, chris

Dennsi Kucinich is the ONLY candidate with viable answers for long term peace, anti NAFTA, and pro union.

Failing that Kerry. I want bush , cheney, rummie and POWELL and Rice and Ashcroft out.

But Kerrys sucks too

I would have thought most of you liberals would have been the "Anyone but Bush" mindset, but you at least have the brains to realise Kerry wouldn't be a good choice for you Bush haters either.

` I'm sure not a conservative especially in today's political theater and never was, but in 64 Goldwater was an easy candidate to campaign for, which I did in High School. It was easy because he was HONEST, period.
` He was willing to speak his mind, and let the public know what he really believed. He didn't try to hide any of his opinions which might cost him votes. His family owned a department store, and he sure wasn't disgustingly rich.
` The alternative was Johnson, the MASTER politician. I was there, and watched him smear Goldwater with manipulative TV commercials that scared the HELL out of the public. He crushed Goldwater, and he wasn't half the man Goldwater was. Since, living through that, I still wonder today if Johnson might not have had something to do with Jack Kennedy's death.
` Today, we have a Democrat who is much richer than the Republican, just like 1960. Then however, at least both candidates were sentient beings.
` I was of the mind, " Anybody but Bush." With less than six months to go, and I'm wondering if Kerry will finally convince me to vote for Bush. At least I believed that Goldwater was as smart, or smarter than me. Bush just makes me want to vomit.

I also campaigned....I was a teenager but I still passed out flyers for the man...Bicycle politics (lol).

You are dead on about what happened.

Still...Kerry is an uncertain element. Bush...well we know what we have...

It's a gamble, but if we keep the same man in...we know where we are going.

` I agree, we do know where we're going. Hopefully, we can stop it before it's irreversable.
`
` If it was anybody but Kerry, dammit. Hell, it's still not too late to go to Canada. lol

Roach,

Kerry is the ONLY choice.Goes to figure that they would offer us an "alternate" choice that is sooo similar in many ways to the first LOUSY choice(Bush). Guess its better than they did last time, where they GAVE the election to Bush, and we had NO CHOICE AT ALL.

Again..Dennis Kucinich is unlike any of the other candidates.
His ideas do not mirror Kerry, nor Bush. They are new, and profound. He will not win a presidency, but hopefully his onfluence will affect Kerrys policy makeing, especially concerning this war and future ones.

So ...say by-by to Bush(A victory in itself.) The king is dead...long live the king.

Bring the troops home NOW.

Sincerely,

Fred Albury

Kerry is the lesser of the 2 evils. Bush is just an IDIOT. From his speeches to his "time served" during Vietnam, I just cant get over how wrong he is for President. Everything about him rubs me the wrong way. While I think that Kerry would do a better job overall, I am of the mindset that when your'e dealing with politicians your'e not going to get what you want. And to whoever asked; the ads here in NC have been Bush saying what Kerry can't or did not do. I dont think Ive seen a Kerry ad yet. I cant stand when campains are like this(which most are). And since Bush is going to (or already has) raise about a quadrillion dollars this could be a long, long
mudsli, er, campaign. Just tell me what you will do and what you stand for. Drives me nuts.

He makes outlandish statements, like I will create 4 million new jobs, cut the deficit, protect the country better, etc. but he never says how he can accomplish any of this. I am surprised he hasn't said he will cure cancer and Aids if elected!

Just a bunch of promises that he has no way to deliver.--not to mention all the flip-flopping. Someone that can't make up his mind on anything is not a leader!

At least Bush got the economy going!

And I tend to think that Osama will probably think again before trying another attack on the US.--I suspect he will go after Spain again, or some other country first, since they folded so easily the first time.

Rodney

repzoo44 May 21, 2004 03:07 PM

Bush got the economy going?? The economy was in the pits after 9/11. It couldnt have been much worse. It had nowhere to go but up, and while it is getting better it is by no means "going". Im not too big on any politicians b/c all of them just say what the masses want to hear. Bush is just an idiot. He has tried to alienate us from the rest of the world, he explains everything as though the US is made up of 5 year olds, and I dont trust him at all. He only does what is best for him. AS far as Bin Laden, he is probably more determined to attack again as it would be a much bigger score than Spain. That was pretty weak how they folded like that. I guess we'll see what happens in Nov.

Yes, go back and look at the Dow Joes average.

The stock market had been in a major fall for about 9 months prior to Bush being elected. 9/11 certainly added to this fall, but things have gotten considerably better since then. Disposable income is at an all time high.

Just here in California, 900,000 new jobs have been created in the past 3 months, and the job growth rate is increasing. This is mostly credited, by economists, to the Bush tax cuts.

Rodney

christopher_o May 22, 2004 03:28 AM

The dow was down the 10 months before 9/11 because it was OVERVALUED for a year before that. It had actually picked up alot of ground just before 9/11 occured...

The market hates uncertainty, 9/11 created alot of that.

Many factors are keeping the markets from making a true and consistent recovery...the price of crude oil is the first reason, rising health care costs, and inconsistent job growth. California may have had success in this area but many other states like Idaho and Ohio are all closing in on the 6% unemployment rate (2% just 4 years ago). Severe inflation due to the effects on bottom lines by gas prices put a hold on people's abilility to invest in American companies. Wal-mart as well as many other companies reported lower than expected retail sales last quarter....most blamed inflation compounded by unemployment.

The Dow is not the best yard stick to measure economic health.

I am happy to see that President Bush has a plan for economic growth and stability...I am sorry however, to see that it is in Iraq and not the U.S..

Respectfully, Chris

HOT! Both the weather and the women lol. Went out with some nonherpers for some Nerodia hunting. Always impresses people. Jumped in the water and grabbed a 2 ft yellow bellied and a 3.5 ft diamondback. Got chewed up pretty bad, but it was fun. I need to get up some pics of my new bulls on the pit forum! Take it easy bro.
