A question regarding my albino's eyesight

fadetolemons May 19, 2004 10:20 AM

Well I know albinos (especially those with red eyes (like mine)) are known to have poor eyesight in the light, especially while young. What is the best way to deal with this and help them to eat and everything? Thanks, Will

I have 3 albinos and they all have pink or red eyes and I don't feed them any differently then the rest. I feed them all with the light on. As we speak one of my albinos is watching my daughter eat a hotdog...lol she's probably thinking WOW THAT'S A BIG WORM...lol I don't treat them any differently.

I'm not saying they aren't any different as I don't really know. I'm just saying that I have 3 and they all eat very well for me and are in good health, and I don't go about feeding them any different. I have tried dimming the light when I feed them and they seem to react the same as when the light is on. We have had 2 of our albinos since they were really really little and I have always fed them the same way. So this is my experience. Hope it helps.
