Ball in rack

dan_binderup May 19, 2004 11:01 AM

Hi everyone.
I am new to this forum. I keep morelia viridis and Epicrates cenchria cenchria. but I have been given a ball python, because the owner didn't had the time to give it proper care. my problem is that I think this snake is so beautiful that I want to establish a breedinggroup, and I was thinking about keeping them (2,4) in a rack system. I have heard that ball pythons thrive in these relatively small boxes. My first question is: what size is approximal size to keep and breed adult ball's?
next question is: if I want to start a breeding group of normal ball's, what is the best number of snakes to start up with?
also, if anybody know a site with a good caresheet a some breeding info, that would be great.
hope som of you guys can help me.
(sorry about the poor english)

best regards

get under the bed plastic sweater boxes etc. freedom breeder's rack tubs are like 33" long X 18" wide X 8" high..(Something like that) So I would go anything close to that or a lil bigger. Click on the N.E.R.D. link above for a nice care sheet with a lil breeding info...also ralph davis has info & most of the links above & previous posts in this forum can help you check all the previous pages here & you'll find everything...as far as breeding group basically whatever you want to do. you can breed one to multiple females (I've heard up to five) with great results so it's really up to you & what you want to do as far as breeding etc. do you have pics?? you talk passionately about them some it struck my curiosity on what they look like..lol
